I got that job, now what do I wear? - Ahora que me pongo?

Sounds familiar to you? This is a question that most women do every single morning when it is time to choose the attire to wear for the office. First step is to identify the type of body structure and shape that you have, tall, short, skinny or not skinny. The second and next step is to find the colors and shades that will be a better match with your complexion. Once you have done these two steps you are ready to start the selection of the pieces to create your basic (in-a-budget) wardrobe.

A “must” and key pieces that should be part of your (budget-friendly) wardrobe are: pencil skirts, shirts or blouses, suits, cardigans and wrap-style dresses (sheath is also a flattering style for most body structures). Solid colors are the best choice (no prints) to mix and match all the pieces of your basic wardrobe and to get as much combinations as possible. Additional to your key pieces, do not forget that your accessories will give that final touch to your style –like the cherry on the cake-. You will need accessories like silk scarves, wool scarves, shawls, wraps, pashminas, belts, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc, which are ideal and perfect pieces to complement any outfit. Please don’t forget to accessorize your entire look every day!

Something to consider -and very important- is your hair style; unfortunately is not mention as often as it should be. It is preferably and better to wear your hair on a ponytail or on a chignon than have it like you left early home and you forgot to say good morning to your hair brush. As a reminder, a disheveled hair (or even worst a damp hair) will ruin any outfit no matter how good it was coordinated or accessorized. You can find a lot of beautiful hair accessories that will complement any hair style and will also help to make it look better in case of a last minute event, take advantage of that!

Last but not least make-up is an indispensable key piece on your overall look, you don’t need a lot of it to look great, use it to highlight your best; beautiful eyes, lips, long and thick eyelashes or a beautiful healthy complexion. The make-up should always enhance your best features and not hide them, very natural and matching your complexion and hair color.
Voilá, now you are ready to plan ahead your outfits for the week which will give you more time during the morning to enjoy a healthy and delicious breakfast!

This is one of the many sensitive preferences that women make every morning when we are getting dressed for work. Heels or flat? Skirt or pants? Sometimes it feels like there are too many options in women’s closets.
I believe that a woman will try on two outfits each morning before coming to a final decision and applying your key pieces, hair style, and some makeup tips are part of each person overall look.
What you wear has a direct impression on how you feel about yourself and it is essential a woman feels special in her outfit.
